Tulkarm - SABA
On Sunday evening, Zionist occupation forces burned several homes in Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, amid a tight siege and ongoing aggression for the 162nd consecutive day.
Local sources reported to Palestine News Agency (WAFA) that the forces set fire to multiple houses in Al-Manshiya neighborhood, while military vehicles and infantry units – which have turned civilian homes into barracks after forcibly evacuating residents – fired live ammunition at anyone approaching the camp.
Nur Shams camp has recently witnessed massive demolition operations targeting dozens of residential buildings as part of an Israeli plan to destroy 106 structures across Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, including 48 buildings already demolished in Nur Shams alone. These operations have caused widespread destruction, with new roads forcibly carved through the camp, isolating neighborhoods.
Simultaneously, Zionist bulldozers continued high-intensity demolition work in Tulkarm camp (under siege for 175 days), implementing a new plan to destroy 104 buildings containing approximately 400 homes. This follows recent demolitions in several neighborhoods including Al-Murabba, Abu Al-Ful, Al-Shuhada, and Al-Hamam, which have left thousands of families homeless.
The escalating aggression has forcibly displaced over:
- 5,000 families (25,000+ civilians) from both camps
- 600+ buildings completely destroyed
- 2,573 homes partially damaged
With camp entrances blocked by earth barriers, the areas have been transformed into lifeless zones where residents are barred from accessing their properties under threat of direct gunfire.
