Palestinian calls continued on Sunday for mass demonstrations across the West Bank in support of the people of the Gaza Strip and in rejection of the starvation policy led by the extremist Zionist government.
According to the Palestinian Safa Agency, calls emphasized the need for broad public mobilization during today's marches throughout the West Bank.
National and popular groups also called for a general strike across all governorates of the West Bank, in solidarity with the besieged Gaza Strip and in protest against the starvation policy imposed by the occupation forces on over two million Palestinians in Gaza.
This strike comes in response to the call of the "Global Campaign to Stop the Genocide in Gaza," which issued an appeal for participation in the "Global Movement Against Starvation in Gaza" to demand the entry of food, water, and medicine for the hundreds of thousands besieged and starving in the Strip, and to stop the bloodshed that has continued for months through bombardment, killing, and deprivation.
The campaign stressed that the strike is a symbolic step expressing the solidarity of peoples with Gaza and a cry against the disturbing international silence amid the escalating humanitarian catastrophe threatening the lives of millions in the Strip.
The strike is expected to affect all aspects of life in the West Bank, affirming Palestinian unity in the face of aggression and the ongoing policy of genocide targeting the people of Gaza.
On Saturday evening, cities across the West Bank witnessed massive demonstrations with thousands of Palestinians taking to the streets in solidarity with Gaza’s resilience and in rejection of the systematic starvation imposed by the occupying forces amid the ongoing brutal assault on the Strip.
