The Public Authority for Roads and Bridges organized a commemorative event on Sunday to honor the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali (peace be upon them).
During the event, the Chairman of the Authority’s Board, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadhrami, emphasized the importance of commemorating this occasion, which instills in hearts the values of sacrifice, martyrdom, and jihad in the path of God.
He highlighted the significance of embodying the morals and virtues of Imam Zaid (AS), who devoted his life to jihad in defense of Islam, fighting injustice, and supporting the oppressed.
The Chairman also addressed the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, amid unprecedented global silence and Arab inaction. He praised the honorable stance of the free Yemeni people, its wise leadership, and its armed forces in standing with the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance.
The event was attended by the Authority’s Deputy Chairman, Engineer Amiruddin Al-Houthi, along with its leaders and staff. Ahmed Al-Khazan, Director of the Orphan Care and Rehabilitation Center, spoke about the significance of commemorating this occasion by emulating Imam Zaid’s morals , drawing lessons from his life of jihad and sacrifice in confronting falsehood and defending the oppressed.
He also warned of the dangerous conspiracies targeting the Islamic Ummah and the fierce aggression pursued by its enemies through malicious tactics aimed at undermining faith, Islamic identity, and unity—making it easier for the enemy to occupy regional nations and plunder their resources.
