The Yemen Gas Company launched on Sunday a field inspection campaign targeting gas filling stations in various provinces.
The campaign aims to assess the supply status of domestic gas and ensure that filling stations comply with safety procedures and standard weight regulations.
During the launch, Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company Yasser sl-Wahdi stated that the campaign is part of the company’s oversight plan to monitor gas stations, maintain stability in gas distribution, and verify stations’ adherence to safety measures and official pricing, while operating around the clock to meet citizens’ needs.
Al-Wahdi emphasized the importance of the campaign in identifying public needs and alleviating citizens’ hardships amid the ongoing crisis, which has affected infrastructure and vital civilian services.
He instructed the inspection teams to monitor and report any violations, whether related to weight discrepancies, safety standards, or breaches of official pricing. He stressed that the company would take firm legal action against any violators.
He also urged inspection teams to engage directly with citizens, listen to their concerns regarding access to domestic gas, and report any complaints about stations to the company’s leadership for immediate action.
