Hodeidah - Saba:
The envelopes for the tender of the outer wall construction project for the fishing port in Al-Khokha, a coastal city in Al-Luhyah District, were opened on Sunday in Hodeidah province.

The project, funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Encouragement Fund, has a cost exceeding 62 million Yemeni riyals.

The bid opening took place during a committee meeting attended by Abdulmalek Sabrah, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea, Abdul Fattah Al-Mualimi, representative of the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Encouragement Fund, delegates from the competing companies and institutions, and several specialists from the authority.

The Tenders Committee of the General Authority for Fisheries referred the envelopes to the analysis committee to complete the procedures for studying, analyzing, and evaluating the submitted bids in accordance with the terms and criteria specified in the tender documents.

Abdulmalek Sabrah emphasized that the project is among the authority’s top priorities due to its importance in protecting the port’s facilities and components, as well as regulating entry and exit operations. This will enhance operational efficiency and improve services provided to fishermen.

He noted that the authority is committed to implementing its projects according to approved technical specifications, as part of its plans to develop fishing ports and improve their operational and service environments.

The bid opening was attended by Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Director of Planning and Development at the authority, along with directors of financial affairs Abdullah Al-Thalaya, investment Ahmed Youssef, monitoring Bandar Al-Rubaie, legal affairs Sadeq Badr, media and public relations Abubakar Dahrush.
