Sana’a – Saba:
A commemorative event was held on Sunday in Sana'a governorate to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him) under the slogan "Insight and Jihad."
The event was organized by the offices of Finance, Civil Service, Public Works, the Executive Unit, Literacy Eradication, Environmental Protection, Neighborhood Affairs, Zakat, Transportation, and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund.
During the event, First Undersecretary of the Governorate Hameed Asim reviewed aspects of the life of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him), highlighting the importance of remembering his virtues, noble character, and enduring legacy.
He also touched on the Imam’s courage, sacrifices, and powerful stance in confronting forces of misguidance, emphasizing that commemorating this occasion serves as a reminder of the path of the “Ally of the Qur’an,” his values, and his revolution—an example to follow in confronting modern-day tyranny and arrogance.
Also speaking at the event, which was attended by governorate undersecretaries Abdulmalik al-Gharbi, Eng. Saleh al-Muntasir, and Talib Dahan, the Acting Director of the Executive Unit in the governorate, Eng. Mohammed Makram, stated that commemorating this anniversary is a spiritual and educational occasion to draw lessons from the life and blessed revolution of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him) in resisting oppression, supporting the truth and the oppressed, and confronting today’s tyrants and promoters of falsehood.
He further pointed to the injustice faced today by the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples due to their refusal to submit to the forces of tyranny, their steadfast loyalty to Allah, and their adherence to the path of the Seal of the Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), and the Imams of guidance after him.
