Jericho - Saba:
The Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights reported that residents of the Al-Auja Waterfall area, north of Jericho, are subjected to continuous daily harassment by Israeli settlers.
In a statement issued Sunday, the organization’s general supervisor, Hassan Mleihat, explained that settlers let their livestock roam freely on citizens’ land in the waterfall area, leading to the destruction of crops and vegetation, in addition to restricting residents' movement and preventing them from accessing their lands freely.
He stressed that this incident is part of a systematic policy of forced displacement aimed at emptying the area of its indigenous population.
Mleihat called on the international community and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities and take urgent action to stop these violations.
