The offices of the Endowments and Zakat Authorities, the Guidance Sector, and the branch of the Martyrs' Families Care Authority in Hajjah governorate organized an event on Saturday to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Zaid (AS).
During the event, the Director of the General Endowments Authority Office, Mohammed Ayshan, highlighted that Imam Zaid (AS) led a revolution to confront the injustice and tyranny that had spread during his time. He reviewed aspects of Imam Zaid’s life, emphasizing his piety and deep connection with the Holy Quran. Ayshan also pointed out the objectives of Imam Zaid’s revolution, which sought to raise awareness, break stagnation, and resist the submission to tyrants and enemies of the nation.
Abdulaziz Al-Warfi, Deputy Director of the General Zakat Authority Office, stressed the importance of following Imam Zaid’s (AS) path in his revolution, methodology, morals, and movement in the cause of Allah. He emphasized drawing lessons from the revolution of the "Ally of the Quran" in correcting misconceptions and inspiring the nation to stand against oppressors, regardless of circumstances.
For his part, cultural activist Hussein Al-Ayani underscored the significance of commemorating this anniversary, which is linked to a great personality whose profound impact continues to resonate in Islamic history and the life of the Muslim community to this day. He explained that the Yemeni people honor this occasion, sincerely expressing their adherence to the true faith-based path, the methodology of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), his household (Ahlul Bayt), and the guiding scholars.
