Gaza – Saba:
The Israeli enemy army on Saturday assassinated Colonel Omar Saeed Oql, Chief of Police in al-Nuseirat, in a targeted airstrike on his home in Al-Zawaida, central Gaza, killing him along with 11 members of his family.
In a statement, Gaza’s General Police Directorate condemned the attack as a new massacre in the Israeli military’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
The statement affirmed that such crimes will not break the will of the Palestinian people or undermine the determination of police personnel who continue to serve and support civilians amid the aggression for over 21 months.
The police renewed calls on the international community and the United Nations to take decisive action to stop Israel’s repeated violations against police members performing civilian duties, which are protected under international law.
