Sana'a – Saba:
Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, along with Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs – Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, inaugurated on Saturday the Expatriate Information Center, Operations Room, and website affiliated with the Expatriate Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

Prime Minister Al-Rahwi and his deputy were briefed by Foreign Minister Jamal Amer and Deputy Minister for Regulating Migration and Work Abroad Mohsen Falah on the project, which aims to provide comprehensive data on Yemeni expatriates in their various host countries, facilitate communication with them, and strengthen their ties to their homeland.

They explained that the center will monitor the conditions of expatriates and the challenges they face, whether abroad or in their home country, and work to address them in cooperation with relevant authorities. It will also encourage expatriate investors to invest in Yemen.

Amer and Falah noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeks to regulate migration and work abroad through clear legal and institutional frameworks, building a comprehensive national database to support decision-making and policy formulation related to foreign labor markets and expatriation.

They reviewed the stages of the center’s development from 2020 to 2025 and affirmed ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities, transforming it into a fully integrated digital platform for efficient expatriate data management.

Foreign Minister Amer stated that the ministry is implementing the directives of Revolution Leader Sayyid Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi regarding expatriate care, as they are an integral part of Yemeni citizens. He noted that the operations room includes representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Expatriates, Local Administration, Interior, and the Investment Sector.

He highlighted Yemen’s honorable stance in supporting Gaza, which has positively influenced relations with Arab and foreign countries, expressing confidence in the positive role of Yemeni expatriates worldwide in representing Yemen and advocating for national and pan-Arab causes.

Amer added that the ministry, through the Expatriate Sector, will work to address expatriate issues in coordination with relevant authorities.

Prime Minister Al-Rahwi expressed his satisfaction with the launch of the center, operations room, and website. He emphasized the leadership’s keen interest in expatriates given their vital role in supporting the national economy, investment contributions, and community initiatives. He stressed that the state, through its institutions, is committed to resolving expatriate issues both domestically and abroad.

Al-Rahwi praised the comprehensive expatriate data presented, noting that sound decision-making relies on accurate information. He lamented the dire conditions in occupied provinces due to the failure of the mercenary government, which prioritizes personal gain over citizens’ suffering and the national currency’s collapse.

The Prime Minister directed the Foreign Ministry to engage with expatriates from occupied provinces and address their concerns. He expressed hope that the center would evolve into a fully digital platform aligned with reform and development goals, emphasizing the government’s commitment to institutional reforms and rectifying decades-long imbalances.

"We aim to streamline government operations to build a transparent and well-governed state," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Al-Madani highlighted the partnership between the Ministries of Local Administration and Foreign Affairs since the government’s inception, focusing on empowering expatriates and securing foreign funding.

He stressed that this partnership prioritizes serving expatriates domestically, protecting their rights, and encouraging investment. Al-Madani commended expatriates' contributions to development through community initiatives, particularly in road construction, dams, and disaster response.
