Hundreds of Mauritanians demonstrated in the capital, Nouakchott, on Friday, to reject the ongoing genocide committed by the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip and to demand an end to the aggression against the Palestinians.
The demonstrations began after Friday prayers in front of the Grand Mosque in Nouakchott, where participants raised the flags of Palestine and Mauritania and chanted slogans in support of the armed factions in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Safa News Agency.
The demonstration coincided with the start of a speech by Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, which participants listened to live via loudspeakers.
The demonstrations were called for by the Student Initiative to Combat Zionist Infiltration and Defend Just Causes, a non-governmental organization dedicated to organizing events in support of the Palestinian people.
