Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms across several governorates, and rough seas due to strong winds over the next 24 hours.
The center reported in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity, possibly accompanied by hail, are expected over parts of the governorates of Al Dhale'e, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Sana'a, Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, and Saada.
Scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely over parts of the highlands of the governorates of Bayda, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, Mahrah, and the western parts of Marib and Jawf.
According to the center, strong to very strong winds are expected around the Socotra Archipelago, in the Gulf of Aden, and along the eastern and southern coasts.
The amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Ibb over the past 24 hours was 49.0 mm, Amran 7.0 mm, Dhamar 3.5 mm, Taiz 0.5 mm, and Mahwit 0.4 mm.
The center warned citizens against staying in or crossing flood channels and land bridges during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, in the Gulf of Aden, and along the southern and eastern coasts.
