Moscow - Saba:
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that its air defense forces destroyed 71 Ukrainian drones over several Russian provinces last night.
Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "24 drones were destroyed over Rostov Oblast, 16 in Moscow Oblast, including 13 drones heading to Moscow. Eleven drones were destroyed in Bryansk Oblast, 10 in Kaluga Oblast, three in Kursk Oblast, two in each of the Oryol, Tula, and Lipetsk Oblasts, and one in the Kuban Oblast."
Ukrainian forces target Russian border areas in the Republic of Crimea and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov Oblasts with drones and missiles almost daily.
For its part, Russian forces have responded by targeting exclusively Ukrainian military infrastructure, as well as facilities within the military-industrial complex, everything related to the storage, repair, or manufacture of military equipment, and concentration centers for Ukrainian armed forces personnel and foreign mercenaries.
The Russian special military operation in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, aims to protect the population of Donbas, according to Moscow.
