Al-Bayda - Saba:
Abdullah Al-Mudhaffari, a member of the Shura Council, and Abdullah Al-Jamali, Deputy Governor of Al-Bayda for Administrative Units Affairs, inspected today the level of services at the free medical camp for ophthalmology and eye surgery at Al-Thawra General Hospital.
Accompanied by Dr. Hassan Tameh, Head of the Health Committee of the General Authority for Zakat, and the directors of the Health and Environment Offices in the governorate, Dr. Mujahid Al-Khatri and Taher Al-Gharib, they received a briefing from the hospital director, Dr. Nasser Al-Ajili, on the progress of the camp. The six-day camp is implemented by the Health Care Society for Affected Communities in cooperation with the Health Office of the governorate, funded by the General Authority for Zakat.
Dr. Al-Ajili noted that doctors have begun performing surgeries to remove cataracts, pterygium, and eyelid cysts after conducting examinations and tests over the past two days.
The visitors praised the high level of organization of such medical camps, which help alleviate the suffering of poor and vulnerable patients, especially amid the repercussions of aggression and blockade. They commended the role of the Health Care Society for Affected Communities, the General Authority for Zakat, and the Ministry of Public Health and Environment in organizing such initiatives.
