The UN General Assembly late on Tuesday adopted two resolutions on Palestine.

'Peaceful settlement for the Palestinian Cause' resolution was supported by 157 states and opposed by 8, with 7 hesitant member states.

The other resolution (offshoot of the Palestinians' rights in the UNGA) was supported by 101 states and opposed by 27 others, while 42 members rejected the vote.
