In recent hours, the Syrian army has launched airstrikes on opposition-held areas in northwestern Syria to retake areas seized by armed groups in a large-scale offensive launched last week.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the Syrian army stressed in a statement on Monday that its units are ready , determined to continue their operations and confront terrorist organizations to expel them from the north.
The statement said that over the past 24 hours, the Syrian army, in cooperation with Russian forces, continued to carry out intensive air, missile and artillery strikes on terrorist positions, warehouses, supply lines and axes of movement in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.
It emphasized that the precision strikes launched by our armed forces in cooperation with Russian forces led to the destruction of five headquarters, seven ammunition and weapons warehouses, some of them containing drones, within 24 hours, in addition to the elimination of more than 400 terrorists, including several foreign nationalities, during the past hours in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.
The statement also said that the Syrian army has started moving on several axes in the countryside of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib to circumvent the terrorists and expel them from the areas they have entered and fully secure them.
