The Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, discussed with the Director General of the Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, cooperation mechanisms to enhance traffic safety on roads between governorates.
The meeting touched on the objectives of the traffic development plan, and the importance of providing ambulances and medical equipment to traffic police stations and training their members on first aid.
The Minister of Health affirmed the ministry's readiness to support the road police, praising the traffic police project on long roads, especially between Sana'a and Hodeidah, which provides humanitarian services to the injured. The minister announced a directive to provide medicines and medical supplies to the health unit of the traffic department, in addition to equipping ambulance centers on the Sana'a-Hodeidah, Sana'a-Taiz, and Sana'a-Saada roads.
