The Yemeni Authority for Standards, Metrology and Quality Control has begun a field visit to liquefied gas stations in Taiz and Hodeida provinces as part of the visit that includes various provinces.
The Authority explained in a statement issued by it that the field visit aims to calibrate the scales of central gas stations to verify their compliance with standard specifications and legal standards.
It indicated that these campaigns that are being implemented in various governorates aim to protect consumers from fraud and arrest violators.
Director of the Authority's branch in Taiz province Eng. Riyadh al-Bukhaiti stressed the importance of all stations' commitment to applying legal standards in scales in a way that serves the citizen and enhances his confidence in the services provided to him.
He pointed out that all necessary legal measures will be taken against violators within the framework of the Authority's tasks in protecting citizens.
Director of the Authority’s branch in Hodeida province Eng. Khalil al-Jawfi explained that the visit will include inspection of technical aspects in terms of the availability of security and safety measures and other basic requirements for gas stations.
