Vasco da Gama's goals were scored by Emerson Rodrigues in the 12th minute, and Dimitri Payet in the 18th and 32nd minutes, while Bahia's goals were scored by Luciano Rodrigues in the 42nd minute and Aldemir in the 75th minute of the match.
With this victory, Vasco da Gama raised its score to 43 points in ninth place, while Bahia's score froze at 46 points in seventh place.
In the rest of the round's matches, Corinthians defeated Cuiaba 1-0.
