HODEIDA - SABA: Mohammed Al-Naimi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, conducted an inspection on Wednesday of flood damage recovery efforts in the districts of Bayt Al-Faqih and al-Duraihimi in Hodeida province.

Al-Naimi was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, as well as Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, a member of the Supreme Committee for Confronting Emergencies and Field Officer of the Joint Operations Room.

During their visit, they were joined by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Quhaim, and Hodeida First Undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri.

The officials reviewed the progress of road maintenance and the reconstruction of homes affected by recent torrential rains and floods.

Al-Naimi emphasized that the visit aligns with directives from the Supreme Political Council to assess the situation of those impacted and evaluate the implementation of necessary recovery measures to restore normalcy in affected areas.

He noted the ongoing work to repair damaged infrastructure and the importance of these efforts for transportation and service continuity.

The team also inspected the construction of a housing unit for 35 families in the Al-Lawiyah area of Al-Duraihimi District, funded by the Hodeida province Support Fund.

He commended the quick response from various official entities, community organizations, and development groups in providing relief and rebuilding efforts.

Al-Naimi and al-Madani inaugurated two collection centers in Beit al-Faqih and al-Mansouriyah for receiving fresh milk from dairy producers. These centers, established with funding from Hodeida Support and Development Fund, aim to enhance local dairy production and food security.

The officials also opened Jamisha Nursery Rehabilitation Project in the Kilo 16 area, supported by the Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit.

This project, costing 35 million YER, aims to cultivate suitable seedlings to revitalize agriculture in Tihama Plain.

Al-Naimi and al-Madani expressed their commitment to advancing these initiatives and enhancing the region's agricultural capabilities.
