JENIN -SABA- Israeli forces stormed on Wednesday the town of Qabatiya, located south of Jenin, and laid siege to the town's education building, several homes, and schools.
According to a statement from al-Qabatiya Education district, the occupation forces surrounded the education building, trapping staff inside.
Simultaneously, military vehicles blockaded several schools, preventing students from leaving after the end of the school day.
Local security sources reported that Israeli undercover units infiltrated the town and surrounded two homes belonging to Abu al-Rab and Zakarna families, before military reinforcements arrived.
The forces reportedly arrested Ahmed Sati Abu al-Rab after ransacking his home, with the raid still ongoing at the time of reporting.
The occupation forces also detained several vehicles and conducted searches near al-Furqan Mosque, driving their vehicles through the town's streets as students were leaving their schools, causing widespread panic.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that live ammunition was fired at journalists covering the raid.
