SANA’A, Jan. 03 (Saba)- NDC Secretary General Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak has confirmed that the Just Solution document to solve southern issue was the final result of intensive discussions lasting over months.
It is a summary of 27 visions which were discussed between Yemenis with the cooperation of international advisors.
In a press conference, Bin Mubarak said that 16 visions were presented by political components in the 16 Sub-Committee, tasked with finding solutions to the Southern Issue.
All visions, with the exception of two, talked about a federal state with regions. "All political components' visions suggested a federal state,'' bin Mubarak commented.
"The conference was not only among the 565 members but was an expression of a real societal dialogue lasting for many months which was received by mass reaction”.
He noted that some parties have rejected the just solution document, saying that they have only small objections about partial matters, and those visions still need to be discussed.
During the conference, he rejected the criticism over the UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Benomar, calling on media to prepare accurately their reports.
He said that the just solution document received great support from Yemeni people, in particular the southern people.
"The document received the support of the international community at the level of the Arab League, the GCC, and the UNSC'', he added.
