TOKYO March 21. 2024 (Saba) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 at Richter scale hit the Japanese capital on Thursday, as the buildings jerked and alarms rang in phone sets, with no official warnings of tsunami.
The quake occurred south Ibaraki, east Tokyo, at depth of 50 kilometers, the Japanese meteorology agency said in a statement.
While no casualties or damages were reported, fast trains stopped trips between Tokyo and Koriyama, northeast the country, due to power cut, according to the Japanese radio and TV corporation.
