OHRID March 19. 2023 (Saba) - The leaders of Kosovo and Serbia are to hold talks in Ohrid southwestern North Macedonia to normalize the relations under the auspices of the European Union.
The talks come after the two sides had failed to reach a settlement in Brussels amid increasing European pressure on Belgrade and Pristina to reach a settlement that eases tension between the two countries.
Once again, the European Union's foreign policy coordinator, Josep Borrell, is to seek to bring the positions of Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Alexander Vucic closer after more than two decades of bloody war between them.
The two sides will meet separately with Borrell and European envoy Miroslav Lajcak before a trilateral meeting scheduled for the afternoon.
