RAMALLAH February 05. 2023 (Saba) - Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly on Sunday condemned the unjust siege imposed by the Zionist enemy authorities on the city of Jericho for the ninth day in a row.

"The siege of Jericho is a form of collective punishment for all unarmed Palestinian civilians," Ma'an news agency quoted the ministry in a press statement as saying.

The ministry added "This blockade hits the economies of the Palestinian citizens and puts obstacles in the way of pursuing their work and their industrial, agricultural, tourism and other projects."

The Ministry indicated that it is following up this blockade with all relevant international authorities as a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law.

The ministry called for urgent international intervention to lift the unjust siege on Jericho by putting pressure on the enemy to stop it immediately.
