SANA'A January 29.2023 (Saba) - The Cabinet, during its extraordinary meeting on Sunday, which was presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, decided to boycott American, Israeli, Swedish, Dutch, and Danish goods in retaliation to abuses of Islamic sanctities.
The Cabinet started its meeting with verses from the Holy Quran, then listened to excerpts from the letter of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, to Malik Al-Ashtar, and to recent directions of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi in his speech on the occasion of the Friday of Rajab 1444 AH regarding taking action against the countries that allow abuses directed to the Holy Qur'an and the Messenger Mohamed, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions.
In the meeting, the Cabinet approved the draft boycott decision in light of the directives of the Revolution Leader and the notes submitted by its General Secretariat on the main points of the draft boycott decision.
It approved the boycott of American, Israeli, Swedish, Dutch and Danish goods, and any country that follows the same approach and violates Islamic sanctities in any way.
The Cabinet formed a committee chaired by the Prime Minister and the membership of Deputy Prime Ministers and all relevant ministries to set up a mechanism to boycott the goods of those countries.
In the same context, the Cabinet approved the comprehensive media plan, and stressed that the Minister of Information should implement it in coordination with the national media system, in order to achieve its awareness and enlightenment goals regarding the boycott and its great importance as a weapon in confronting aggressive actions against the sanctities of the nation.
The Cabinet denounced the disgraceful disregard of most Arab and Islamic countries towards these violations, which clearly indicates their loss of control and their transformation into tools in the hands of the Western Zionist project.
The Cabinet praised the great stances of the Yemeni people, who came out in an honorable way to express their condemnation and denunciation of burning copies of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, as they had previously gone out to express their condemnation of insulting the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him.
