SANA'A January 25. 2023 (Saba) - The Shura Council condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the racist phenomena that affected Holy Qur’an by burning and tearing in Western countries, the latest of which was the Dutch extremist’s tearing of Holy Qur’an and its burning in Hague.
In a statement issued today, Wednesday, the Council considered this criminal act as part of a malicious and racist series targeting Islam and Islamic sanctities in the context of insulting insults to Muslim sanctities, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad, may God bless him and his family, and the Holy Qur’an, and the Zionist lobby in the world stands behind it.
It considered this matter an extension of the culture of hatred, racism, and lack of recognition of the other, and contradicts the West's false claims of peaceful coexistence between followers of different religions.
The Council demanded that Islamic Cooperation Organization , Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the United Nations condemn this crime and the disgraceful act that preceded it, represented in the burning of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, and work to take positions to prevent the recurrence of such behavior.
It blamed Western countries for the results and consequences of such extremist actions that inflame the feelings of Muslims, calling on the governments of Sweden and the Netherlands to hold the perpetrators of these hostile and provocative actions accountable.
In its statement, the Council called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to express their rejection of these extremist acts that affect Islamic sanctities from time to time.
