[04/December/2022]

SANA'A December 04.2022 (Saba) - The political parties and components organized in Sana'a on Sunday a festive event on the occasion of the 55th Independence Day, November 30.

In the event, member of the Supreme Political Council Ahmed Al-Rahwi saluted the sacrifices of the October 14 revolutionaries to expel the occupier and evacuate the last British soldier from the Yemeni territories on November 30, 1967, after occupation that has lasted for about 128 years.

"History today is repeating itself, with the presence of the old-new occupier in southern Yemen under the auspices of the forces of global hegemony and arrogance and their tools in the region and their agents from among our people," Al-Rahwi said.

He stressed that the facts of history confirm that there is no survival for the occupier and the invader on the land of Yemen, as Yemen is the cemetery of the invaders.

Al-Rahwi warned against surrendering to the intrigues and machinations of the British colonialists to create a civil war among the people of Yemen, calling on the people of the southern provinces to strengthen cohesion and line up to confront the US-Saudi-Emirati occupation forces.

Head of the Southern Movement component participating in the National Dialogue Conference and signing on the Peace and Partnership Agreement, Major General Khaled Baras, confirmed that the aggression and occupation coalition in Yemen is an extension of the British colonial policy of destroying the achievements made and what the people of Yemen have built in five decades.

Major General Barras expressed regret that some people stood by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition in destroying Yemen's capabilities, although the crimes that affected children, women and the elderly and did not exclude anyone.

He said, "As we celebrate today's Independence Day, we look forward to celebrating the liberation of all Yemeni lands from the filth of the aggressors and occupiers."

Minister of the State, Ahmed Al-Qana', stressed the necessity of readiness of all forces, components and the Yemeni people to confront the new colonialist, who came with suspicious alliances targeting Yemen in the north and south.

Chairman of the Central Committee of the Yemeni Socialist Party, Yahya Mansour Abu Osba, for his part, referred to the unity of the Yemeni revolution and Yemen's issues in the north, south, east and west.

He explained: "On January 4, 1963, more than 100 personalities gathered to discuss a revolution against the British colonialists, including officers, free men, and personalities from southern Yemen who fought alongside the revolutionaries of September 26 revolution," Abu Osba said.

He added that the Yemeni people, with their various components and orientations, had participated in the Yemeni revolution on September 26 and October 14.

Abu Osba pointed out that Saudi Arabia had committed to Britain the costs of its stay in Aden, to enable it to overthrow Sana'a, affirming that Saudi Arabia did not leave the Yemenis an outlet to build the country and consolidate the values and principles of the Yemeni revolution.

Member of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah, Ali Al-Qahoum, confirmed that the celebration of Independence Day, November 30, comes to recall the bright history of the Yemeni people.

Al-Qahoum considered the 30th of November a milestone in the history of the Yemeni struggle, confirming that "Yemen, whose sons were able to defeat the occupier in the past, is capable of expelling the new invaders and purifying the Yemeni lands of their filth."

He stressed that Yemeni unity is a national gain for all the Yemeni people that cannot be neglected.

Hamid Assem, in the speech of the Joint Meeting Parties, reviewed the steps taken by the revolutionaries of Yemen and their movements to prepare for the revolution of October 14, 1963 and the expulsion of the British occupier from southern Yemen, which was achieved on the 30th of November in 1966.

Assem called for unifying the ranks to confront the occupiers in the southern lands, and to thwart their plans.

For his part, Issam Qanaf, Secretary General of the Correction Organization, considered the 30th of November an end to fragmentation, division, and meager states created by colonialism in the land of the south, and a victory for the unity of the Yemeni revolution of September and October.

Secretary-General of the Liberation Front Party Saleh Sayil, in the speech of the anti-aggression parties, considered the November 30th a day when the people of Yemen remember the history of struggle and the sacrifices of the free people of Yemen.

Sayil praised the firm national positions of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, which included all political forces and components and founded a partnership with them to purify the rest of the Yemeni lands from the filth of the invaders and occupiers.

A statement issued by the Yemeni political parties and components affirmed that the liberation of every inch of Yemen's territory is the responsibility of everyone without exception, and at the same time a covenant that should not be renounced.

The statement renewed the principled and firm position on the nation's issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, and that Yemen is an integral part of the axis of resistance.

The statement of the political parties and components pointed to adherence to the sovereignty and independence of Yemen, the rejection of dependence and external tutelage, and the fight against corruption, voicing support for the armed forces' qualitative strikes to prevent the looting of Yemeni wealth as a legitimate right that must never stop, calling on those involved in the aggression ranks to return to the right path and join the national ranks.

The statement also called on the aggression countries to lift the blockade on Yemeni ports and airports, and to withdraw their forces from the entire territory of the Republic of Yemen, with a commitment to compensation and reconstruction, advising the UAE state and the Saudi regime not to continue to bow to America and Britain, because that would be a disaster for them.
