SANA'A, Aug. 14 (Saba) - The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, on Sunday directed all ministries and other concerned government agencies to harness their equipment for the benefit of the Civil Defense Department to face the flood emergencies.

This came during a meeting held in Sana'a and headed by the Prime Minister to discuss a report on the collateral damage caused by torrential rains in the capital Sana'a and provinces.

At the meeting, Dr. bin Habtoor affirmed the importance of coordinating the effort between all concerned and relevant authorities and mobilizing the energies and equipment of the various parties and harnessing them in order to reduce the collateral damage of heavy rains and torrents at the level of neighborhoods and cities.

The report submitted by the Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, included a comprehensive presentation of the various human and material damages resulting from the torrential rains witnessed recently by the capital Sana'a and several provinces.
