Shura Council condemns aggression coalition to get round on armistice, its delay in implementing its items

SANA'A, July. 24 (Saba) - The Shura Council condemned Sunday to get round of the United States-Saudi aggression coalition on the armistice announced under the auspices of the United Nations and its delay in implementing its items.

In a statement issued today, the Council stated that the armistice was a demonstration of goodwill in preparation for a comprehensive and just solution that would bring security and stability to the Yemeni people and to the States of the region. However, this has not been achieved because of the aggression of coalition States' intransigence and persistence in the blockade and violations, and the mobilization of mercenaries. The coalition of aggression in those practices missed the chances of peace in the region, which would cost it enormously.

The Shura Council affirmed its support for all resolutions and options taken by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to stop aggression, lift the blockade completely and address the humanitarian situation, open Sana'a International Airport, the port of Hodeida and roads, pay salaries and put an end to the suffering of the Yemeni people that has been going on for eight years.

The statement called on the army, the people's committees, and the people of Yemen to lift their readiness and vigilance to thwart the plots of aggression and to prepare for all options that would compel them to delinquency for a just peace and to recognize the right of the Yemeni people to live in dignity freely, independently and with the exit of all invaders and occupiers from all its lands and islands.

The Council deplored the continued violation of the armistice by the US-Saudi aggression coalition and blatantly bombed a number of areas of the West Coast by drones as well as the direct targeting of citizens in the border areas by artillery bombardment from Saudi border guards.

The statement held the States of the Coalition Aggression and its instruments responsible for the aggravation of the humanitarian and living conditions of the Yemeni people and for the failure to comply fully with the agreed armistice clauses totally without retail.

The Council, the United Nations, and its Special Envoy to Yemen demanded that there be no double standards and work seriously to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people and oblige the Coalition of Aggression to implement all declared armistice clauses, condemn the Coalition's continued violations and directly target citizens in border areas with artillery shelling by Saudi border guards.
