Revolution leader to UN envoy:  Real entrance to all files is from gate of addressing  humanitarian file's requirements

[30/May/2021]

SANA'A, May 30 (Saba)  - Leader of the Revolution Abdul-Malik al-Houthi met on Sunday Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen Martin Griffiths.

In the meeting, the Leader of the Revolution referred to the suffering of the Yemeni people at various levels, mainly on the humanitarian side, pointing to the weak role of the United Nations towards the unjust blockade imposed by the aggression on food, medicine and oil derivatives except for what arrives and with great hardship and extreme costs that burden the Yemeni people.

He stressed the blockade is a collective punishment and a procedure that violates international decisions and human norms, and is inconsistent with all laws, indicating that it is the right of the Yemeni people to have access to oil derivatives, medical supplies and foodstuffs.

Abdul Malik al-Houthi criticized the way the United Nations deals with the humanitarian file  as it puts pressure on the Yemeni people for their livelihood and medicine and bargains with them in other files.

He described the attempt to link the humanitarian aspect as a legitimate and independent right, and other files of a military or political nature as an explicit confiscation of the right of the Yemeni people to their most basic human rights and an equation that cannot be accepted at all.

The leader of the revolution warned the United Nations of having a clear stance on this issue instead of identifying with the countries of aggression, and to stand by the Yemeni people to enter oil derivatives, food and medical supplies without a blackmail.

He stressed that the real entrance to all files is from the portal to address the requirements of the humanitarian file, which concerns every Yemeni citizen as it brings direct harm to his life, security and food stability.

The leader of the revolution warned the aggression if it thinks or expects its siege on Yemen  would strengthen its position, then it is delusional, adding " the more its siege increases, the more the Yemeni people are firmly convinced and fully confident that the aggression does not want peace and does not seek it."
