SANA'A, Mar. 03 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf said on Wednesday the outcomes of the donors' conference for Yemen were weak and disappointing the calls of organizations, programs, and agencies operating under the umbrella of the United Nations.
Sharaf added the US-Saudi aggression coalition created the worst humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen in the modern era.
In a statement to Saba, the minister said these results were not a surprise to the Yemeni people and the rescue government, as there are many leaders of the governments of the aggression and its tools want to weaken Yemen.
The international community is still watching and keeping pace with the chapters of unjust aggression launched against Yemen and its people six years ago and talking about the humanitarian catastrophe, it wants to alleviate it without addressing its visible causes represented by stopping the military and economic aggression which uses all kinds of weapons, including Internationally prohibited weapons and ammunition, Sharaf said.
He pointed out the aggression countries have practiced and are still practicing collective punishment policies against the Yemeni people through the air, land, and sea blockade.
The Minister explained what has been pledged is not nearly half of what was estimated by the United Nations for food aid and some cost of medicine and health needs in a complete absence of providing the necessary coverage of relief for nearly 4,000,000 displaced people who were displaced from their areas due to the aggression.
Sharaf called on Saudi Arabia and the UAE to show courage and responsibility before the world, acknowledge their mistakes and stop their aggression and start withdrawing military or logistical presence in the Yemeni territory.
The foreign minister called on the countries of aggression, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, to stop their intervention directly or indirectly as a sign of confidence and signs of peace.
