MARIB, Feb. 12 (Saba) - The Air Defense Force shot down on Friday an enemy spy plane in Madghal district of Marib province.

 

The Chinese-made CH-4 drone was shot down by a yet-undisclosed surface-to-air missile while it was carrying out hostile operations in the Yemeni airspace, said army's spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarei.

 

The CH-4 is the most powerful drone in terms of its capacity and aviation efficiency and is able to perform tasks like monitoring battlefield, gathering data, conducting military operations and striking accurately fixed or mobile targets.

 

The plane's wingspan reaches 18 meters, its maximum weight at take-off is 1,350 kilograms, and its maximum flight range is 5,000 kilometers, and it can fly at 7,000 meters altitude.
