RAYMAH, Jan. 27 (Saba) - The Yemeni Red Crescent (YRC) branch in Raymah province has distributed food baskets for the poorest families and affected by rains in al-Salfiya district.

 

The distribution came in coordination with the local authority and the branch of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) in the province.

 

During the distribution, al-Salfiya district director Mohammed al-Haidari praised the role of the YRC in providing aid to the affected families so as to lessen their suffering due to the continuing aggression and unjust siege.

 

Al-Haidari emphasized the keenness of the local authority in the district to provide facilities to organizations supporting the humanitarian field to meet the needs of the district and improve the humanitarian situation of the poorest groups as well.

 

On his part, the disaster coordinator at the YRC in the province, Yousef al-Masa'bi, explained the distribution targeted 176 of the poorest families affected by the rains in the district.
