SANA'A, Dec.15 (Saba) - Yemen condemned on Tuesday US hostile policies and stances towards all free and independent states and peoples.
The condemnation is expressed in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry after the US issued sanctions against the Iranian ambassador to Yemen Hassan Erloo, describing the US decision as "provocative and blatant".
It said that the US administration is suffering from a moral crisis, and always take the side of the corrupt and oppressive regime.
The statement said that the one who should be on the lists of shame and sanctions is the US ambassador, who is acting as a military ruler for Hadi regime or "the legitimacy of hotels", as called by the Yemenis.
"The US ambassador allegedly claims himself as an ambassador to Yemen, which has declared him as "Persona non grata"," the statement read.
It stated that the US ambassador represents only the hateful US administration, not the people, that has committed the most heinous crimes against the children and women of Yemen and has stood , and still does, behind the suffering of the Yemeni people for over 6 years.
"The US administration should be ashamed for recognizing a president of Yemen, whom the Yemenis themselves do not acknowledge" The statement read, accentuating that its envoy deals with a fake and unacknowledged government in Yemen and does not represent the interests of Yemenis at all.
The Iranian ambassador and all diplomatic and humanitarian workers in Yemen, whatever are their nationalities, are in fact guests of the country and the Yemeni people. "Any insults on the guests of Yemen are a provocative act of the feelings of all Yemenis."
The statement called on Washington to stop its hostile policies towards Yemen in particular and the Arab and Islamic countries in general.
