HODEIDAH, Aug.13 (Saba) - The control and inspection teams of the Bureau of Industry and Trade in Hodeidah province have seized 45 food violations since the beginning of this week in the districts of al-Hali, al-Hawak, al-Mina, and Bajel.
Inspection teams have stepped up efforts to control markets and prevent attempts to manipulate prices or monopoly, as well as to continue to provide basic food commodities in appropriate quantities, director-general of the Industry Office in Hodeidah Mohammed al-Hattami said.
Al-Hattami indicated that the violations that were seized six offenses not to publicize prices, selling without invoices, two offenses for selling expired materials, 19 violations of raising prices, eight violations of weight loss, and ten other offenses.
The director-general of the Industry Office in Hodeidah pointed out that a sweets factory in al-Hali district was closed, 45 records were issued, fines of 170,000 Y.R were imposed, and a notice of attendance and closure was issued to 43 different shops and businesses.
