Cabinet discusses draft national project to care for Bilal's descendants
[12/August/2020]

SANAA, Aug. 12 -(Saba) - The Council of Ministers discussed at its regular meeting on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor the draft national project to care for Bilal's descendants and integrate them into society.

The project is a translation of the initiative of the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the sponsorship and attention to this group in all respects, especially education and rehabilitation, and its integration into society as actors in society in the daily life of Yemeni society, capable of influencing various development, service, and economic processes, included ways to translate this initiative from its various aspects and achieve its religious, humanitarian, moral and national purposes.

In the light of the preliminary discussion of the project submitted by Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Dr. Hussein Maqboli, the Council postponed the decision on the project to allow the various ideas submitted by a number of concerned authorities.

In this regard, the Council formed a committee headed by Dr. Maqbobi and the membership of the Ministries of Social Affairs, Labor and Human Rights, Minister of State Dr. Hamid al-Mazjaji and Bunyan Development Foundation so as to develop the proposed ideas and include them in the project in order to benefit from the various efforts made by the relevant authorities and to be resubmitted in its expanded and comprehensive form in the next meeting for final discussion and recognition.

In this regard, the Council formed a committee headed by Dr. Maqbubi and the membership of the Ministries of Social Affairs, Labor and Human Rights, Minister of State Dr. Hamid al-Mazjaji and the Bunyan Development Foundation to develop the proposed ideas and include them in the project in order to benefit from the various efforts made by the relevant authorities and re-present them in an expanded and comprehensive form at the next meeting for final the discussion to approve them.

The Cabinet stood before the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat regarding the paper prepared by the National Policy Team entitled "Drafting contracts and conflicts in Yemen", and directed to refer the draft to the Ministries of Legal Affairs and Justice to review its contents and submit the results to the Council in order to discuss it in the upcoming meeting and adopt appropriate procedures.

The Council listened to the report of Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lt. Gen. Jalal Al-Ruwaishan on the general situation on the military fronts, through which the heroes of the army, popular committees, and volunteers are fighting the fateful battle of the homeland against the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition and its tools at home, in addition to dealing with the security situation in the capital Sana'a and other provinces.

The report noted the control of the heroes of the army, committees, and volunteers on the situation on all internal fronts and beyond the borders despite the intensity of airstrikes and missile and artillery targeting, indicating the continuation of the barbaric raids against civilians, especially children and women, the latest of which was the massacre in al-Ma'atara area in Jawf province.

At the same time, it pointed out that the aggressors and their agents continued to commit daily violations on the west coast of Yemen and continued to shell the southern end of Hodeidah city with shells and machine guns, as well as the besieged city of al-Duraihemi, which has been blockaded for more than a year and a half.

The report clarified that the security situation is stable in the capital Sanaa and in all the free provinces, stressing that the security plan for the holiday of Eid Al-Adha has achieved all its objectives where an atmosphere of security and tranquility prevailed during its days and nights.

It mentioned that the situation in the occupied provinces is witnessing a state of security chaos, which has been reflected by the spread of armed militias and the continuous fighting among them, which causes great damage to lives and public and private property.

The Council highly praised the various operations carried out by the army, security, popular committees, and volunteers on the military fronts and their high spirits as they confronted the evil hordes of aggressors, agents, and mercenaries.

The Council of Ministers appreciated the tasks carried out by the Ministry of Interior, the security agencies, and units in order to stabilize the security and stability, preserve the tranquillity of society and shield public and private property, stressing that every effort made for the country, whether military, security, administrative, development, service or economic, is appreciated by the revolutionary and political leadership and hailed by the free Yemeni people.

The Council discussed a draft of the temporary amendment to the law regulating the relationship between landlord and tenant submitted by the Minister of Legal Affairs Dr. Ismail al-Mahaqeri.

The project seeks to address the relationship during this exceptional period, taking into account the current conditions that citizens are going through, especially employees, as a result of not receiving their salaries due to aggression, blockade, and direct economic war against the Yemeni people.

The Council commissioned the ministers of the affairs of Parliament and Shura Dr. Ali Abu Halikah and legal affairs Dr. Ismail al-Mahaqeri and Justice Judge Mohammed al-Dailami to reviewing in the light of the remarks raised by the Council so that the results are submitted to the Council for the final discussion in order to approve it.
