SANAA, Aug. 11 (Saba) -  During the first half of 2010, security services seized 23 gangs, 6,211 criminal cases and restored 50 stolen cars.

 

A security report issued by the security services in the capital Sanaa, Saba got a copy of it, indicated that the cases that were seized in various areas and police stations come within the framework of combating crime before it occurs.

 

The report confirmed the decrease in the crime rate during the first half of this year by 10 percent compared to the last half of 2019 while investigations and procedures for collecting evidence revealed the circumstances of 904 crimes committed in previous times and perpetrators were arrested.

 

The report noted that the security services in the Capital seized 50 stolen cars, and seized 924 different thefts cases, including 166 forced thefts, 31 car thefts, 130 house thefts, 88 shop thefts, 113 car thefts, and 146 motorbike thefts.

 

The report stated that among the most prominent of the seized crimes were 69 crimes of drug smuggling and promotion. The number of arrested suspects reached 188, while 50 murders, 20 forging official and customary documents, and five cases of counterfeiting official and private seals and signs were seized.

 

He pointed out that the security services had seized 22 cases of looting private property and 61 crimes of aiding the aggression coalition, stressing that the suspects had been pursued and 254 accused were arrested, all of them wanted for security in various provinces and 364 wanted in criminal cases for security services in the provinces.
