President al-Mashat meets with Speaker of Parliament, Chairman of National Salvation Government
[12/July/2020]

SANAA, July 12 (Saba) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat has met with the speaker of the House of Representatives Yahya Ali al-Ra'i, and the Chairman of the National Salvation Government Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor.

In the meeting, several issues were discussed on the national scene, mainly the continuation of the aggression, the tightening of the siege on the Yemeni people, and its repercussions on the humanitarian situation in Yemen, as well as the latest developments in the Coronavirus epidemic.

President al-Mashat directed the National Salvation Government and Higher Committee for  Epidemic Control to study all options related to completing the study and tests and take the appropriate decision under the required data, whether to continue to suspend or resume the educational process, taking into account the health of students and teaching staff.

Al-Mashat also directed the Government and the Committee to examine the possibility of easing precautionary measures on the economic and vital sectors, taking into account the necessary precautions for the safety of employees and citizens.

The meeting touched on the escalation of aggression and its ongoing crimes and its targeting of infrastructure in various provinces, in conjunction with the tightening of the blockade and the prevention of oil ships from entering the port of Hodeidah in a flagrant violation of the Agreement of Sweden and the attempt to bring down the Yemeni people.

"We have taken a vow and a promise morally and religiously before our people to liberate all the occupied territories in our country, and we will prove this covenant, God willing, and we will take it upon ourselves to liberate every inch of this country," said President al-Mashat.
