The aggression continues to violate Stockholm agreement: Report
[10/July/2020]

SANAA, July. 10 (Saba) - US-Saudi aggression carried out Thursday two air raids on Al-Salif area in Hodeidah.

The US-Saudi mercenaries bombarded by artillery shells and various machine guns, targeting Dabiani, the airport, the defense camp, and the engineering college in Hodeidah city.

The Mercenaries bombed by 13 artillery shells the south of Al-Tohyta, while they targeted with automatic weapons various areas in Hays.

The Liaison and Coordination Officers’ Operations Room also, which monitors violations of the Stockholm Agreement and Ceasefire in Hodeidah, reported 191 violations staged by US-Saudi forces and mercenaries during the past 24 hours.

The source pointed out that the violations included the flying of 12 warplanes over Hodeidah city, Al-Manzar and Kylo 16 area and 9 spy drones over Hodeidah city, Kylo 16 and Al-Jah, 65 attacks with 211 artillery shells and 103 attacks with live bullets.

Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e, described targeting civilian boats in Al-Salif area by the US-Saudi aggression, on Thursday, as a major and a flagrant violation of Stockholm agreement.

Brig. Gen. Sarie told Saba that this attack comes to cover up the crimes of aggression through the naval blockade and the disruption of the ports of Hodeidah and Al-Salif despite the steps provided by local authorities and military forces in The City of Hodeida.

A spokesman for the armed forces stressed that the navy and coastal defense will not remain idly in the face of such crimes, escalation and violations, adding: "The United Nations, which has become a defender of aggression and siege, must shoulder its responsibilities in the face of the ongoing aggression and violations.

For his part, Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daress said that tanks of the Yemeni Petroleum Company, its agents and fuel stations are now free of oil derivatives, which foreshadows a humanitarian catastrophe if Saudi-led aggression coalition continues to hold the oil ships.

During his meeting with a number of cadres and leaders of the official media, Daress explained that the detention of fuel ships inflicts Yemen large burdens and fines of up to 20 thousand dollars for each ship per day.

He pointed to the arbitrary practices of the aggression coalition countries in continuing the detention of oil ships despite obtaining official permits from the United Nations to enter the port of Hodeidah, expressing regret for the apparent complicity of the United Nations and the defective international silence on those practices.

The Minister held the United Nations and the UN Security Council fully responsible for the repercussions of the continued detention of oil derivatives ships and the occurrence of a humanitarian catastrophe threatening the cessation of all vital sectors in Yemen, especially the health sector.

Daress considered the detention of oil ships as a collective punishment for the Yemeni people aimed at doubling their suffering in getting medicine, food, water, health and all the requirements of life.

He called on the media to expose the practices and crimes of the aggression coalition in Yemen and the truth of the United Nations role.

The Minister of Oil also held the aggression countries and the United Nations responsible for the consequences of any environment disaster, in the event of a leakage from Safer floating tanker or targeting it by the aggression coalition.

Meanwhile, The local authority in Hodeidah governorate condemned  the US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition's airstrikes on one of facilities of the Salt Company in al-Salif district, in a new breach of Sweden agreement.

The local authority said, in a statement, that the aggression coalition air raids resulted in significant damage to the company’s properties, noting that this targeting is a clear violation of international humanitarian law that criminalizes targeting civilian installations and objects.

The statement affirmed that "this major violation of the Sweden agreement confirms the position of the United Nations and its bias towards the aggression coalition countries in their war against Yemen.

The local authority of Hodeidah denounced the shameful silence of United Nations and the Security Council and their derogation from their duties, which allowed and encouraged the aggression countries to continue committing more crimes.

The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to stand firm against these violations, which are aimed at undermining the peace process in Hodeidah and thwarting the Sweden agreement.
