Army spokesman reveals suspicious roles of USAID, military operations in depth of enemy

SANAA, July 7 (Saba) - Spokesperson of the Yemeni army Brigadier General Yahya Sarie revealed on Tuesday a large group of weapons bearing the logo of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Those weapons were found by the army and popular committees during the recent military operations in Bayda province, Sarie added during a press breifing this afternoon.

Brigadier-General Sarie affirmed that the army and the popular committees had previously found various amounts of weapons with the USAID logo on among the weapons they seized in other areas and fronts.

"This is the American aid to the Yemeni people and this is the reality of this organization that is trying to impose its decision on the Yemenis and exercise suspicious roles," Sarie said.

The army spokesman reviewed live pictures showing the 105-caliber Hauser and 75-caliber artillery shells bearing the logo of the USAID.

He commented on the pictures saying "these scenes are not only for the Yemenis, but for all the people of the nation and for all the free people in this world in order to know the truth about the American role."

Brig. Gen. Sarie indicated that the USAID supports and funds foreign organizations working in Yemen to implement its activities in local communities in a number of provinces and was exercising intelligence roles under humanitarian slogans.

He called on the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation and the competent security authorities to disclose the agency's activity and expose its role.

"This agency is directly affiliated with the US Department of State, works for the enemies of Yemen, and kills Yemenis under the banner of helping them," he added.

During the press briefing, the army spokesman indicated to the military operations of the Yemeni armed forces that targeted military headquarters and installations in the depth of the Saudi enemy.

Sarie called on Saudi citizens and residents in Saudi Arabia to stay away from military headquarters and facilities used for military purposes, as they became among the army's targets.

He confirmed that "all the targets of the army and the popular committees are military or of a military nature, and have a role in the aggression against Yemen, directly or indirectly."

"Today, we will not respond to the threat with a threat, but rather we will confirm that our action precedes speech," he said. "No force on earth will be able to stop our legitimate military operations.”

The army spokesman affirmed that Yemen's military situation has become much better than it was and the surprises of the Yemeni army would not stop.

During the press briefing, Sarie addressed a message to Saudi-led coalition countries on behalf of the armed forces saying "Your economic war will have severe consequences and its fire may extend to your doorstep soon."

He added that "the Yemeni people will not starve to death and the forces aggression must understand this message well."
