Qahim: UN fails to access food convey to the besieged city of al-Duraihemi affirms its inability to implement Sweden's agreement
[06/July/2020]

HODEIDAH, July 6 (Saba) - The acting governor of Hodeidah Mohammed Ayyash Qahim confirmed that the United Nations' failure to enter a food convoy for citizens trapped in the city of al-Duraihemi for more than two years confirms its inability to implement the Stockholm agreement on Hodeidah.

In a statement to Saba, Qahim said that the aggression coalition countries did not stop the bombing of citizens' homes and service facilities, but rather they practiced piracy on authorized oil, food, and medicine ships after they were inspected in the State of Djibouti.

He stressed that the detention of oil ships and food at sea is the biggest violation of Sweden's agreement.

Qahim reiterated the local authority’s condemnation of the aggression coalition’s attacks in targeting civilians and their facilities in various provinces.

He condemned the silence of the international community on the crimes committed by the aggression forces against citizens and the failure to fulfill the International community's responsibilities to protect civilians from the aggression and lifting the siege.
