SANAA, July. 4 (Saba)- Yemen's oil company CEO Ammar al-Adhrai confirmed on Friday that the port of Hodeidah has not yet received any detained oil derivatives ship, which has been announced for release by the Aggression coalition.
If the four ships arrived at the port, the Yemeni Oil Company would not be able to meet the demand for oil derivatives, during the delivery of the United Nations Office in Sana'a, al-Adhrai explained statements of condemnation of the continued aggression in the detention of oil vessels.
He pointed out that the ships announced carry oil derivatives do not exceed 29 thousand and 200 tons or equivalent to 40 million liters, while the daily requirement of gasoline only in the normal situation in the free provinces five million and 300 liters of gasoline per day and 5 million and 200 liters diesel.
He stated that the Yemeni oil company will be unable to overcome the crisis of oil derivatives because its facilities and stations are empty, and there are 2,000 empty agents' stations in need of oil derivatives. It would require 60,000 liters per station, equivalent to 120 million liters.
The CEO of the oil company pointed out those 40 million liters is not enough to meet the need for five days in the event of an end to the crisis. He stressed that the manifestations of the oil derivatives crisis are continuing, which compounds the suffering of citizens and the impact on different sectors, especially service and health.
Al-Adhrai held the United Nations, the Aggression coalition and the Economic Commission of the Hotel Government fully responsible for a real disaster that threatened the lives and livelihoods of the Yemeni people.
Statements issued by the Yemeni Oil Company, the General Union of Yemeni Workers' Unions and the General Union of Owners of Private Oil Terminals denounced the UN-covered aggression coalition continues to detain oil derivatives vessels carrying nearly 420,000 tons of gasoline and diesel, as well as ships loaded with gas, diesel and food, despite being subject to investigation and inspection procedures in Djibouti and obtaining UN permits in accordance with the applicable mechanism.
