SANAA, June 3 (Saba) - An official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Tuesday the donors' conference for Yemen comes as an attempt to beautify the image of the aggression coalition stained with the blood of the innocent Yemenis before the international community.
The official said to Saba the states of aggression "whatever you do, you will not be able to hide the fact that war crimes they are doing in Yemen are unprecedented in history and humanity. "
The official said the conference is taking place in light of the continued aggression and the blockade imposed on Yemen by the Saudi-led aggression coalition which is continuing the policy of starvation and economic warfare, including the detention of twenty internationally licensed ships loaded with fuel, food and medicine that the Yemeni people are in need.
The official at the ministry added " the conference is a material for media consumption and throwing up smoke screen".
The official pointed out that the international community has been providing support to Yemen during the past years, but that assistance unfortunately did not rise to the level of increasing needs.
The official expressed appreciation of any real assistance that might be provided by brotherly and friendly countries and humanitarian organizations in a correct way and away from media bids that affect the dignity of the Yemeni people and aim to alleviate the suffering caused by the aggression coalition.
He added, "The real assistance Yemen needs lies today in the serious and real pressure to end the root causes of the humanitarian crisis represented by the aggression and the blockade imposed on Yemen for the sixth year in a row."
The official stressed that the spread of the Corona epidemic requires the immediate end of the aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen and the harnessing of all efforts to confront this global epidemic.
The official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the readiness to achieve peace and reach a just peaceful political settlement.
