SANAA, Feb. 19 (Saba) - Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs  Abdel Mohsen Tawoos discussed with UNICEF on Wednesday ways enhancing humanitarian action in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with Sara Beysolow Nyanti, UNICEF Representative in Yemen, and Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Saad Houry.

At the meeting, Tawoos stressed the importance of cooperation between the council and the UNICEF that ensures coordination of efforts and enhances action for carrying out all projects provided by the organization in Yemen.

Tawoos affirmed the council's keenness to provide all necessary facilities for the organizations working in Yemen, praising UNICEF's active and positive role in the humanitarian field.

Meanwhile, UNICEF officials said that  UNICEF would exert more efforts to cooperate with the council for access the humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people.
