Over 80 % of Internet capacities in Yemen come out of service
[09/January/2020]

SANAA, Jan. 9 (Saba) – The Public Telecommunication Corporation and the Yemeni International Company for International Telecommunications (TeleYemen) on Thursday announced that more than 80 percent of the international internet capacities came out of service in Yemen.

"A large number of the Internet correspondence connections came out of service due to the exposure of the marine cable (Falcon) to the interruption in Suez, which caused the exit of more than 80 percent of the international internet capacities in Yemen," an official source in the corporation and the company told Saba .

The source confirmed that there are unremitting efforts to follow up the cable repairing and the return of service soon.
