SANAA, Jan. 5 (Saba) – The Shura Council's Economic Committee on Sunday discussed here with German Friedrich Ebert Foundation the cooperation aspects in the field of capacity development programs for the Council's members and employees.

This came during a meeting held in Sanaa, which was chaired by the Shura Speaker Mohammed al-Aidarous and attended by Director of the German foundation program in Yemen Mahmoud Kiah.

The meeting touched on the joint activities between the committee and the foundation aimed at neutralizing the national economy from the conflict, including the re-payment of salaries of state employees, which were suspended due to the decision of transfer of functions of the central bank to Aden and the other party's failure to fulfill its legal and financial obligations in this regard.

At the meeting, the President of the Shura Council praised the activities of the German foundation in Yemen, noting to the importance of the partnership between the Council and the foundation in the areas that contribute to the reduction of the disastrous effects of the ongoing siege and aggression.
