SANAA, Dec. 30 (Saba) – The Yemeni army’s air defenses on Monday shot down a spy aircraft belonging to Saudi-led aggression coalition in the airspace of al-Salif area in Hodeidah province, the army’s spokesman said.
“The Saudi spy plane is of Karayael type, and was targeted with an air-to-surface missile while carrying out hostile mission, in breach of Sweden agreement” the army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie explained in a statement.
In a message he addressed to the aggression forces, Gen. Sarie considered this operation an inauguration of 2020 as the air defense year, as he declared during a press conference he held on Sunday.
Gen. Sarie stressed that the violation of Yemeni airspace is no longer permissible.
