[15/December/2019]

SANAA, Dec. 15 (Saba) – The Board of Directors of Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation, in its meeting on Sunday headed by Minister of Transport Zakaria Al-Shami, reviewed the Corporation's achievements during the previous period in operating the work at Hodeidah Port.

The meeting dealt with the Corporation's final account for the year 2018, as well as the pledges that have not been fulfilled by the United Nations and its affiliated organizations regarding providing the Corporation and the port of Hodeidah with cranes, maintenance devices and equipment destroyed by the aggression coalition.

In the meeting, al-Shami stressed the necessity of redoubling efforts to enhance the Corporation's performance in the technical, administrative and professional aspects.

The Minister urged the completion of the projects covered in the first phase of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state, in a way that contributes to the development and revitalization of the Corporation's ports.

Al-Shami stressed the need to pay attention to human resources and develop their capabilities and qualification in the field of maritime navigation.

He praised the efforts and steadfastness of the Corporation's leadership and workers in light of the continued aggression and siege.
