WASHINGTON, Feb. 19 (Saba) – The formal negotiations between Yemen and the World Bank (WB) have launched on Tuesday concentrating on the additional support agreement provided by the WB of US$ 25 million to fund the fourth stage of the Social Fund for Development project.

The negotiations were held at the bank's headquarters in Washington and chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary for Externally Funded Projects Mohammed Ali al-Maswari.

The WB-additional support aims to contribute to prop up the pay-for-work program and improve the quality of social services in the field of health and education, he said.

It is worth to mention that the WB contributes in funding the project's fourth phase at amount of US$ 60million as a grant funding.
